Are any of these water pumps OK for 2002 2.6
« on: 19 February 2018, 19:00:45 »

I am looking for a waterpump, for when I do the timing belt on my 2.6.  I have looked on here but cannot seem to find much information, except don't get one with nylon impellar.  I looked on ebay and found these.

Or this one on Eurocarparts

I have heard of Borg and Beck, but don't know of their quality now.

I am open to recommendations or makes other people have used.

Thanks in advance

I ordered an ECP pump on Saturday, promised for delivery tomorrow, so I'll let you know what I think then.
Didn't Norg and Beck do clutches/brake linings?

Sadly, no - I'm spending most of the day under multiple blankets and a duvet, sweating it out. Wife and son also in a bad way, but HE gave it to me in the first place!
Whilst you are online, you will be fed, of course, but what foods don't you like? Not vegetarian/vegan, are you?
Chinese OK?

A very kind offer, Ron, but rather than drive both directions in one day, I might go and stay in Clacton and make a night of it, and will proably have dinner there, thanks :y

Cups of tea and coffee however, are what it's all about :y :y

We have a sofa if you prefer not to go to Clacton - unless you have a friend there?
You can still have lunch with us, whatever - and a breakfast, after your drive?
You need to keep your strength up, young man!

Hope you feel better soon. I think you are right about Borg and Beck. Thanks for letting me know about the water pump you have ordered.

Addy,if your water pump isn't leaking then I would leave as is,the V6 pump isn't timing belt driven and some of the cheap pumps may be worse than what you have already,if you are leaking or have a rough bearing then of course it would be wise to change it :y

Addy, I have the pump now and it looks ok to me - metal impeller and quite heavy/solid.
I got mine via an ECP discount code MID35, 35% off, but I don't know if the code is still active.
If it isn't, and you are not in a hurry, part-complete the purchase then close out on the order. Wait a day or so and you will get an email asking you what went wrong. Ignore it, and you will get a follow-up emai,
offering you a 30% discount on a "personal, special to you" code!  ;D 8)
