Recovery drivers

I've posted this before and I'm posting it again. You must be fickin mental! I'm watching ' Extreme winter road rescue' on Ch5, and some of the close calls are....well.....fickin close!
I can't understand why vehicles that have come off the road have to be recovered in pitch darkness. Leave them till the morning, surely?

24/7 probably money to made, rather than parking a truck up overnight, you can pay someone to crew it. More truck works, more money?

Talking to the young lad that last recovered my Smart, theyre expected to do too many hours for not enough money .... and don't even get time & a half  let alone double time.  >:(
