Vauxhall grandland SUV.
« on: 23 March 2018, 21:49:57 »

Why? I thought the mokka was their SUV offering. Seems a bit stupid to put this up against the myriad of SUVs that are already out there.

Quote from Autocar "The Vauxhall Grandland X is a re-skinned Peugeot 3008 that's too bland and offers too little to stand out in an increasingly competitive market."

Irrespective of how good or bad it is, there seems to be an irrational demand in these SUV wannbes (or crossovers or whatever they market them as) over the past few years.

Personally, I can't see the charm.

Car companies seem quite adept at creating a "niche" market that soon becomes a "must have"Vx tried some years ago with the Signum but failed miserably.

They had the advertising all wrong for the Signum.  ::)

The slogan should have been something like " The Vauxhall Signum.  Perfect for taking all of your old shite to the tip! "  ;D

Vauxhall found the sweet spot with the Signum but unfortunately the average Vauxhall owner is not sophisticated enough to appreciate it. :) ;)

There, there, Opti. I'm sure it will break beyond repair soon, then you won't have to listen to that nasty Tigger.  ;D

I need something to park outside my house to stop other people parking there. I'm sure your signum would fit the bill perfectly  :y

The engineering integrity of the Signum means they last forever, unlike Sir Tig's lorry fuel Titty X.  :)

......and where would you park the desirable Astra derv?

If the good people of Barnsley think you own a Signum the jealousy and envy may prove too much. They'll think you've won the lottery.

I refuse to park the Zafira outside my house, so I'm unlikely to want to park a god awful Vectra in drag outside...

That STMO chappie has no such luxury.

The Astra derv could end up being parked 3 streets away. ;)

I have a parking space for my car, but I give it up for wifey when she comes home. I need a piece of junk your signum to take someone else's space for wifey.  :)

Citroen are already busy going "premium" by splitting off the DS range wanting their dealerships to have a separation in showroom space between the Citroen and DS brands.
