Yes Lizzie, I was lifting your leg - in response to your "GPO" taunt!
Summarising the other helpful comments, I have tried all it will let me try, which isn't much. When I connect my phone miniUSB to the PC's USB, I can read what is on the microUSB card in the phone, the same as I can read with said card in a card reader, i.e. about 4 photos and 8 short video clips from way back.
The photos that I want access to are in an internal folder (not the microSD card) in the phone itself. in a folder labelled "My pics". I can view those photos on the phone's screen, but cannot get the buggers to transfer or display on my PC.
If there were a way to get the pnone to transfer the contents of the "My pics" folder to the microSD card, I should be able to access them in that way.....any ideas, please?

Ron.

You tease, you!

Yes I know, and I was seeing how far I could push the Edison mobile "1934" phone joke. ;D ;D ;)

As a matter of interest, Edison, who actually passed away in 1931, is credited by some as creating all the ingredients that would become vital in the invention of the mobile telephone. :-* ;)

I have tried several times to find a way of transferring my photos to somewhere accessible, DG, and have just given it another go - same result, zilch!
I think I will have to give up and use a proper camera instead.
Thanks to you all for trying.

As said Ron, Its probably because your using XP, and its only coming up as a Generic USB Card Reader or something simular, it will probably need the original Phone Modem Drivers and or any Software that may have come with Phone, ie, PC Suite, Data Transfer etc.

I still reckon your best bet is to plug it into a Modern win10 PC as the Software will probably reconize that phone type and install any required drivers needed.

Yes your right Lizzie, I remember that now, wasn't something to do with, 'How to get your Photos off the internal Storage thing' or something along them lines.  ;D

Here you go, your probably need something like this Ron, PC Suite for the Phone, download it and Install, it should install the relevant Drivers required then run the PC Software, follow on screen instructions to connect your phone.

Download here - http://mymobile.three.co.uk:8080/mymobile/ZTE/F102/downloads.html

or I can email the Package to you, you need to unzip it in both cases

Oh yes zirk, he was way ahead of his time.

But, there again time travellers were around using mobile phones in 1928 and 1938:

Been there, Zirk, tried it and got nowhere; I think I am unsuited to technology!  :(

Well, as said before Ron, your not do yourself any favors continuing to run with XP.

I know its all money and all that, but if you hunt around you can pick up a cheap proper Win10 Licence for under a Tenner.

That's not the problem, Zirk: my PC isn't capable of running anything higher than XP - I've tried, it crashes.  :(

https://forum.dc-unlocker.com/forum/modems-and-phones/zte/1829-need-zte-f102-usb-drivers
The correct Drivers are packaged in a Folder with that PC Suite I posted up.

In fact your probably find it will work if your Roll Back or de Install what ever drivers XP is currently using when it first detected the Phone being plugged in, and then re Install the Suite before plugging in the Phone, or use another USB port on the PC thats not been used with the phone yet.

Gaffers, I've tried the DC unlocker and everything ZTE related that i could find on Google - nuffink.
Myy PC will not recognise my phone, Zirk, that's the major problem, I think, and I have tried all USB ports including one with direct input to the USB card in the PC.
I do not have any software as the phone was a present from my daughter when she upgraded.

As Zirk said, you need to plug in the phone and find whatever your computer has installed at as in the COntrol Panel.  Then uninstall that driver, unplug the phone and install the correct drivers.  Then and only then plug it in again.
