I think I see where DG is coming from on this,if you're using your car on the road[other than to/from a pre-booked M.o.T.]without such a certificate then at least technically[and most probably legally]your insurance would be invalid.I know the M.o.T. only really means the testable items were passed at the time they were inspected but to all intents and purposes it is taken as being legal for a year-blatantly obvious faults such as bald tyres, worn out brakes,blown bulbs aside of course.Anyway now I know it's run out the problem will be addressed.It just came as a shock that it'd run out as it seems nothing like a year ago that it was last tested.
