oil filler cap

has anybody ever had to replace an oil filler cap ? the one on my mig appears to work itself loose & oil ( only a small amount ) come out of the filler

Mine did that too. I just fitted a new o ring into it.the old one had gone a bit hard.all fine since

Mine did that too. I just fitted a new o ring into it.the old one had gone a bit hard.all fine since
without checking isn't it a rubber washer . ?

Isn't an O ring a rubber washer?  ;D
I have not seen that type of o ring for sale in any pack of o rings that I could buy from a motor factors. have you ? ;D ;D

I had to change the large o ring on one of mine. Same size used on cap and on filler neck to cam cover seal

Sometimes, you can turn the rubber seal over and refit it and I've had limited luck with this working. To be honest a new 710 cap isn't that much and will probably be much cleaner.
