and the quoted range of 280 miles from a single charge ..... is these from the same kind of people that try to tell us that model X does 130 mpg when in fact it's lucky to achieve 30 mpg in real world driving?

So I expect that is achievable on the i-Pace in summer months if driven carefully, I was getting probably 220-240 at circa 0 deg C and that was with hitting the throttle hard a few times.

Thats pretty good for winter time :y
Yeah, but he was freezing is balls off, and driving with no lights :D

I did see a chart of winter ranges a couple of months a go with typically 20-50% range reduction due to heating & lights & lithium batteries having reduced cold weather capacity. Something to bare in mind if you get a milk float.

Easily catered for when planning your journey though.  I took the older leaf on trips to Sheffield and Tenby without running out of juice by pre-planning my stops and charge points.  It had a claimed range of 128 miles, I mananged 102 at best, used 80 for planning purposes.  The i-pace would be a significant difference though and it is a dream to drive.

Depends - I would very much begrudge a stop for 30 minutes, half way home, if it were my commute..

75 miles each way if I got the "short" way, 90 miles each way if I go the "quick" way.. no charging at the office (heck, if you get there after 9am, there's no parking at the office, let alone charging!).

Once a week, fortunately..

The i-pace would work for you all year round so long as the right foot wasn't too heavy.

My 2.0 diesel auto is something like 9.7 secs to 62. I've never felt that it was too slow in normal driving conditions. Granted, if I were a bit of a gap-toothed, Terry Thomas type cad like Opti, I might want a bit more grunt.

True .. but £64k pays for a lot of petrol to put in the BMW .. or a nice Ranger Raptor and £20k of Diesel :)

How's the Ranger, btw?

Great!  Funnily enough, fewer idiots now try and cut me up and the light bar does a handy job of both turn night into day and serving as a communication device  ::)

I really want another one .. but we'll slum it with two one car for a while (until hers gets repaired/written off after it's Jazz shunt) and save some money like sensible people*

*he says, browsing Autotrader.
