pre ignition that looks like !! or bits of valve/piston munching it !!  :o

Been wondering if it was a faulty plug, and if bits of plug fell into bore, causing the engine damage....

I'm still unsure of this oil lack theory causing a sudden death - there were just no signs leading up to it at all!

Looks like it was burning far to hot mate. Might be a crappy Faulty batch.

doubt very much that plug would have caused the damage you describe James, bathroom sealer in a crank journal a much more probable cause

Looks like the after effects of a piston no longer constrained by its' con rod to me.  ::)
