FYI - Scrap value ............
« on: 12 August 2009, 17:10:16 »

Ok, now I'm down to one car. The CDX donor car was towed away to the scrapyad today less the stuff that was salvaged.

Today's spot buying price is £110 per ton, so, I got £173.80 for her which I was pleased about.

The sad news is that there is now one less '98 Omega CDX saloon on the roads.

The root cause of this ones demise was a combination of rust (wheelarches & door tops), a dodgy autobox and various "normal" maint items all coming @ the wrong time - i.e. wishbones etc.

Thats life I suppose .........

Scrap prices in Lincoln are always above the National average, good time to weigh in anything you have.  :y
