Passenger side 'Osram Nightbraker' on the mighty Signum decided to call it a day after about 18 month. Replaced with the old (piss poor) bulb which fortunately I kept.

Being on the passenger side all I needed to do was remove the washer bottle filler to gain access.

Did the annual oil and plug change before I take it to France in 3 weeks. So that's 7980 miles since the last change.

The rear parking sensors have packed up on the Disco and apparently the bumper has to come off to get at them.  ::)

I've worked out that it's the sensor on the offside corner that's not working, and that you can just about get your hand up behind the bumper to the sensor.  According to the chaps on the Disco3 forum it's possible but very fiddly to free the outboard sensors, so I thought I'd have a go.  :y

Within 15 minutes the tips of my fingers were getting frostbitten, so I decided to make a tactical withdrawal and come back to fight another day!  :D

It's often the bumper wiring loom that's the problem and not the sensor,so good luck :y

Yes so I hear Henry.  The plan is to swap the 2 outboard sensors then if the offside is still goosed I know it's the wiring............. and the bumper has to come off!  ::)  :(

It's fiddly as f... though so it might be easier in the long run to take the bumper off.  :-\

Took the spare off the Battlebus, and put the real wheel back on.

Might have to use for work tomorrow, as it sounded like it was running out of electricity.  Mind you, it might run out of fuel as well ;D

Took it to a garage to ask how much it would be to weld up the ventilated chassis rails etc. to be told it would cost £2-300 minimum.

Ok. It’s going to be one long ass haul to Serek’s but, including cost of fuel you would pay less than that and know it’s done right.  :y

When I say half. Knocking on door of half the cost.  :)

Having removed the sill covers yesterday to be pleasantly surprised at how much of the sills are still there. today I removed the rear seat base and nearside back rest along with the belt mounts to supposedly clear the way for the magical welder to do its job. although I still haven't decided whether I want to attempt the welding or get some goon to slap patches all over it..

Washed it. Didn't want to as it was cold, but it was covered in a white coat of road salt residue.
