Washed with pure rainwater, cleaned with the hide of bambi and buffed up with tufts of hair from a virgins fanny.
Albs does his that way, too.  ;D

He lives in Essex. Where does he get the equipment? ;D

Last week I took the wimps way out and paid a garage to change all four shocks & springs on the BMW, then do the alignment. An impressive amount of money later (and new eccentric bolts on the rear), I have a much better handling car.

And then, at the weekend, got the first bits of wiring loom into the kit car:

A week or so ago, a pair of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 went on TBE. Saturday, TBE went for a bit of WIM'ing, then after that off to Huntingdon to get the chilly machine working.

Thanks for Tony and the gang at WIM, was great to catch up with you again, glad to see you back twirling the spanners occasionally.

Also, thanks to Serek and the gang at SOS-Automotive for getting the aircon sorted.

That concludes all the planned work for now on TBE, at last :)

Are you following kit car convention and using the same colour wire for everything? ;)

;D No, the loom is Lucas colours IIRC ;)

A friend of mine who is an avionics engineer by trade did offer to build me a loom - I said I didn't want it built like the ones he uses at work, where every wire is white  ;D ;D

Collected it from Mr Clutch. Again.

Turns out that the feed pipe from the master was leaking as it did not seat correctly on the new master, and a seal had also failed where the spigot joins the master. Both replaced and all is good, and fluid tight :y

Not sure if its an aviation thing, but the bloke who built my car originally worked as RAF ground crew and all my wires were light blue. All. Of. Them....

It's easier to "remove to a place of safety" one big reel of cable than two dozen smaller ones. ;)
