Fitted a new lpg filter today..
« on: 06 September 2006, 17:44:36 »

I went and picked up the new lpg filter for my Veccy today....blooming £60  :o

Took the old one off....and compared the two....exactly the same except new one was slighly larger....but looking in the ends of them identical looking.....EXCEPT the flow direction arrows were in the opposite directions  :-?

Even took them down to the lpg installer to have a look....they looked at them and said yes identical m8....then i told them to look at the flow arrows....yes they agreed flow directions arrows in opposite directions.

So i have fitted the new one in accordance with the flow direction arrow.....but is it the wrong way round??.....was the old one the wrong way round?? will it make any difference??  :-/

Veccy still keeps switching back to petrol as well  >:(

Should i take it out and turn it round?? See if that makes a difference?  :-/

Sorry no experiance with LPG so can't really say.

However as for the filter, the direction is they way they want it go though the filter if you get what i mean.

I assume there is some kind of gauze or metal filter in there? The LPG is designed to go in one way get filter and continue on...

Personally i would not switch it around, just don't know what kind of damage it could do?

But i guess Martin is best to comment...

Well yes i would agree Tunnie....but it either means the old filter was fitted the wrong way round.....and the new one correct or vice versa  :-/

The old one had a sticky label on it for the flow direction, the new one it is machined into the side of it,
so went for maybe sticky label was on the wrong way round. Dunno  :-/
