Without doubt, having the injectors sonically cleaned is the best way - but you need to remove them and take them to someone that does it. IIRC, about £15 per injector.

I use BP Ultimate in my 2.2 and find its more responsive and gives better MPG to go towards the extra cost.  Shell seems to whizz through with less difference and no cost savings.
