CAMLOCKS
« on: 29 September 2006, 06:26:07 »

hey all, i know im a newbie and most peeps with locking kits may be dubious bout lending any out to me. but is someone trusting enough or local enough to either visit and help or loan me a set, i have been a member on another site for a while using "smoggiemed" as my login. any help would be appreciated as i have just bought it and i have no evidence of when it was last done.

p.s; still to get the cambelt kit with rollers and tensioners as i didnt want to pay out if i couldnt fit it. so a yes in principle (of me getting the belt kit) is good enough. thanks.

I would recommend getting Robin Hood's £3 cambelt DVD.

Even if you are unable to get a loan here, Autovaux hire them out, not sure how much...

I was quoted 15/wk plus about 6 each way in shipping, which I thought was very reasonable.  They have a few sets, but couldn't promise a particular date so I ended up borrowing a set.

You definitely want the DVD.  I watched it twice before, but not as I was going, and it makes you so much more comfortable in knowing what needs to be done.

Trains may have been invented here, but public transport is a foreign concept!

I would also recommend the DVD, invaluable, and at 3 quid it's well worth it.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
