sorry!  :'( Infact, despite its name, when I did the top bearing on SWMBO's Astra, it was just a rubber bush.  :-?£60 from Vx or £6 from a motorfactor.

Flat, hoop or pancake bearing. I don't think they can be re-cond, and for the price from factors etc, really not worth the hassle.

The astra is like the later Corsa and has a small bearing deep inside the top mount.

The Omega has a large bearing setup with about 30-32 balls which can be dis-assembled (I strip them, clean them and re-grease them when doing shock absorber changes).

Bu66er...changed mine. Didn't look like they could be overhauled. Still, they weren't too bad on the price.

Thought I would bite the bullet and order new ones, they came today and Ive ended up with the large rubber top mount instead of the bearing. Vx call all the rubber bits a 'bearing' and I picked the wrong part number. :'(

I just hope the bearing track is OK to re-use with new balls. Will be cycling for a few days if its pitted.

never been in there so just assumed it was a rubber bush. We are talking about the top strut mount the bolts top of the wing from the engine bay?

Whats the symptoms with the bearing? Do they creak or rattle when dry? Just wondering in case im missing sumat....? :-)
