Reconnecting TC switch - 2003 Omega
« on: 19 November 2006, 16:38:54 »

My Omega is an ex-plod car and I tried to reconnect the TC switch today.

Taking a look at the guide for removing the centre fascia, I got that off and was hoping to just connect the switch in the back.

I was expecting a loose green plucg floating around in the console to fit in the TC slot.
No dice, there's already a blue plug in the socket (2nd one up from bottom) there - So what's the green one, and where should it go?

There's no ultrasonic alarm fitted, so I don't think it's the ultrasonics switch.

Any ideas?  I'll try to post some pics soon as!

Pic would be good, I will post the wire colours if it helps.

The Police have a habit of butchering the wiring a bit.

Grey/Yellow - pin 4 (illumination feed)
Brown - pin 3 (0V)
Brown Red - pin 2 (Traction control disable to pin 31 of ABS module)

Dont be surprised if the TC connector has been moved, it was placed to the far left on my minifacelift

OK Mark, thanks.

I'll take a look next time I'm delving around - I'm guessing it's been moved as the plug 2nd from bottom doesn't seem to have anything connected.

Bless thosse law enforcement types!  Still, at least I got an engine with F in the code! lol

What are the three wires taped up in the picture?
