50 years ago. I remember every God awful minute of it. I think it was probably the first time something on the news made me cry.

I was only eight years old at the time but still have vivid memories of the t.v coverage of the disaster  :'(

Yes it was on the documentary last night on BBC1, presented by Huw Edwards.  Very moving it was too.  :y

Was it really so long ago?Crikey!A huge tragedy taking so many young lives,it must have been totally horrifying for those involved.
