Interested to know how you get on.

Any chance of some before and after illumination shots?

I say 6K because for best visability you need white light and 6K gives white light....above this you start going blue and the real visability starts to drop off....

I think the VX ones are 4100k... i will stand corrected!

Yes techinically the higher you go the less actual light power (LUMINS) you get.. so 6000k will be very bright.

Will do some shots soo.

Yep factory are c. 4100-4200K. Personally I'd go for this again, the 6000K will look a bit nicer due to the bluer tinge and they'll still perform very well, but lower K tend to be better in poor weather due to the increased scatter of light at the blue end of the spectrum. The difference will be pretty small though.

It might be a good idea to check that your digital camera is set to manual colour temperature while you're at it, otherwise the auto correction will invalidate any comparisons.

If you can, try putting something you know to be white in the picture, say photoquality printer paper (not ordinary printer/copier paper, as this contains phosphors to make it slightly blue).

The new bulbs turned up and they are Brilliant... fit perfectly and give an extremely bright light with tinge of blue!

Totally recommend them to anybody...
