« on: 16 February 2008, 16:14:50 »

Just learning how to use me code reader/reset thingy and as many of you are aware I have been experiencing a not very often problem with the ABS/TC
I have found a code 35 on the ABS control unit which translates to the " Return valve relay" could some kind person please point me at it. I persume its one of the many relays dotted around the engine compartment and under the steering wheel
Many thanks in advance

They are insode the ABS control box (black lid with ABS on it) which is part of the main ABS unit.

In theory you cant remove the realys but, you can pop the whole circuit board out and check the soldering etc...

Thanx 4 that will be making some calls in morning see whos where and what they offer. Going to try local and then widen search.

Just one question though  if I remove the ABS unit but leave pump inplace can the car still be driven or will the brakes be in affective, I am persuming that I can remove electronic bit without disturbing the hydralics so making reasembly easier

Given that you have the early ABS setup and that the modules are pretty bomb proof normaly. I would go with a second hand controller which you should be able to get for about 20 quid.
