Czechwrecks 2006 - Diary
« on: 29 August 2006, 21:13:32 »

Right, this will be our "official" Czechwrecks thread where we will keep you updated with our attempts to get the Senny(and ourselves!) all the way to Prague and back, via some very "interesting" roads...  :o

Now, anyne who wishes to donate to the truly frightening fuel bill for this trip is welcome to donate via paypal to us here: laidback_66@hotmail.com

Any donations VERY welcome (and bribery for increased post counts is not out of the question!  ;D)

We go over to Calais on Thursday and start the rally bright and early Friday morning. :)

I collected the car tonight and here are a few shots I have taken.
I will post a couple more in daylight so you can see the car in all it's quietly rusting magnificence!  ;D

I decided to personalise the old girl a bit...

Like the look of this?  ;)

In order to keep this thread tidy, can we leave this thread as a diary for Laidback66 and Marks_DTM_Calib to post their diary in.

All member comments please post in [link=http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1156883597]Czechwrecks 2006 - Member Comments[/link]

Thanks

UPDATE:

18:20, Mark and Dave phoned and have reached Dover only to be delayed by a missing ferry. They should be in Calais this evening still, so leg one completed.

Just spoke with Dave and Mark. They are both well and making good progress. Currently approaching Innsbruk (Austria) and the Senator is running like a ....... senator.

They will be trying to get web access tonight (Sunday) so I will let them tell you the latest then.

Ok, it's 1am and we are in Prague...at last!

Sorry, but previously internet access has been non existant!
All done. Had a great time (despite the shambolic organisation!).

Have lots of pics and stuff to tell you about, but will do that upon our return.
The car behaved very well, until Mark played rally driver up a mountain!  ::)
Overheated a touch... but a few modificaions later and all is well.

Not suprisingly, Mark won a very impressive award... for helping so many others get their cars running, but I will let Mark tell you about that on his return.

Oh, and 1 final thing....

If there is worse place in the world to drive than Prague, we have not found it!!!  >:(
