I see he is trying to drum up support as his popularity falls.

Renewed push for an EU army.

Paying homage to Marshall Petain.  Nazi collaborator and that he died in prison seem to count for nought!

Apparently he believes the the EU needs its own army to defend itself against the U.S. and Russia. :o
It would be unbelievable if he weren't French.  ::)

And threes Me thinking threes a Military Force called NATO which the US are part of. or is He planning to go to War with them in the future.

Also Hes not very good at History, seem to remember the US did a lot for France during WW2.

As did we but only the coastal towns in Normandy seem to remember that.

He is trying to channel a bit of CdG and Mitterand by pitching the world against France in the hopes of gathering nationalist sentiment.  Sound familiar? ::)

Thankfully it seems to be backfiring un petit peu ;D
