Hi
Recently my Omega wouldn't start because of a flat battery. After I charged it and connected it back up I discovered my radio would not let me put in my code to remove it from the SAFE mode. All I get on the display is 7 SAFE. I have tried removing and replacing the battery to no effect. If it means a replacement radio/cd player I would appreciate a lisy of suppliers.

What radio unit is fitted?
"7 Safe" means you have seven attempts left, sure you are entering the right code?
-
Hi
I know that the display 7 SAFE means I have 7 attempts left. But when I switch off the radio and hold down the AS button and switch on the radio again I am not getting the confirmation beep which allows me to put in the correct code.

The time you need to leave it powered up to enter the code increases with each wrong code entered

Did you solve the problem? :y
-
Hi
No I still haven't managed to solve the problem even leaving the radio off for days it still comes up 7 SAFE. I think it must be a problem with the AS button as I am not getting a conformation beep to allow me to put in the radio code. I fear I may have to buy a new radio/cd player. If anyone can put me in touch with a supplier I would be extremely gratefull.

Radios need leaving with power ON for the increasing number of hours
-
Yeah. Could be up to 10 or 15 mins at 7 that it needs to be on, before it would allow entry.
-
Hi
When you say the radio needs to be on for 10-15 mins is that holding down the AS button or just leaving the radio switched on.

Ignition ON, radio ON

Did leaving the power on solve it? :y

7 SAFE means radio and ignition switched on for up to 2 hours before another code attempt is possible
;)
