Midlands non-cambelt party
« on: 25 February 2007, 12:17:59 »

Despite all that was done in Brackley, being miggys there is still a list of things people want/need to do.  I would like to get the ball rolling on an event for March 24th.  Location TBD, somewhere in the midlands.  Doors, suspension, brakes, and my leaking EM's have all been mentioned.  Oh, and I'm sure we can do a cambelt or two if any are left after Brackley!

I'm saddled with on-street parking so I can't host at my place.  :(  Maybe I can do my turn this fall, we're looking for a place with a garage.

Anyone up for a meet?

as I've said elsewhere, I plan on hosting an event here in Oxford in the foreseeable future , however, much though I'd LOVE to,  I can't do that date.....    a week after my mother's 60th birthday , and a week before my daughter's 18th and sons's 16th... I'm going to be SO skint as to beggar belief....

Mid-Late April on the other hand MIGHT be do-able.

There's no reason we can't do more than one.  OTOH, if the date is otherwise amenable, there is absolutely no reason for you to pay for our food if you are providing the venue!

Unfortunately mate, , it's slightly more complicated than that  :( , there's the political angle with SWMBO, to do with finishing major jobs around the house first, like emptying our dining room of boxes (awaiting a studio to go in) , turning my office into a second living room, and getting the studio waiting to be built on the back of the garage underway, to accommodate my office and equipment....  then work commitments for both of us,  , and also the small matter of  the bits I'd like to try and get done at the same time.... (Sintra Cambelt, it's a sideways mounted Meega V6 lump ;) , maybe the Omega gearbox oil change, )

Life's complicated.......   especially within 6 months of having moved house.....

I can't manage all of it in 4 weeks.....

8 weeks is pushing it, but possible.

But that doesn't preclude there being more such events elsewhere.....    :y

Conveniently this is exactly a month later!  :)

We'll try to keep this one a bit less intense!  8-)

i am up for another one, I can host again too if anyone wants me to?

I will be busy here at Uni until April now, must finish my project!

However, early June would be free for me. Parents are away, and I will need to finish preparing the Senator for Europe. My 2.2 needs its diff pinion seal doing too....

That's cool.  Slight issue of where, was going to be at Bo Bo's . . .  :-?

I'm still game to get together, Timbuk is interested.  I need to do front suspension, and/or any of a variety of other jobs.  I can't host though.
