Keswick - Springs?
« on: 29 May 2007, 22:49:50 »

As per my other post I need new springs on the Senator, fully laden, the exhaust grinds the road  :(

I am thinking Omega V6 Estate springs to raise the back end just a bit, does anyone have some V6 Estate springs?

Got a pair of good saloon springs to exchange....

Also can spring work be done at Keswick? Seen it done by the master that is Mark... i don't want to attempt this job with my mickey mouse tool set.

Cool, I shall bring my halfords set and a little jack, but need a man's jack to support the diff.... also some spare bolts for the diff. As 2 snapped on the last spring change  :(

Oh I can also bring some ramps, that omegatoy kindly lent me. (thats if he does not want the back)

If anyone has any spare autobox bolts, i would not mind a few of those too...  :y

It is all grassy - apart from the road that runs through it of course.  :y

Are you sleeping in the car Tunnie or do you need a pitch booking?  :-?

I'll bring a trolley jack and axle stands just in case.

I can get you a tent if you need one, another OOFer, Kostas, lives in Carlisle and has already offered its services as he can't come to anyone that needs it.  No trouble to pick it up for you  :y

Dave... your kind of on the way to the Lakes. I need to take the Senator for the springs work (and to get some springs!)

Fancy going up in the Senator?

Check very carefully before you do start undoing bolts Tunnie. I'm not 100% certain that the Omega estate springs will fit on the Senny, the subframes are quite different.
