Am i right in thinking these are 2 ohms per Driver?

Because im fitting 4 Awg cable through out the Mig ive managed to squeeze it through the first Grrommit for the Amplifier , However im a little paranoid about making a hole through the secong Grommit and looking up the Dash inside the car i dont wanna go poking a drill through it because of the amount of wires.


I was thinking for saftety measurment that below the Pollen filter housing there is a Plastic surround below the flap just by the Fan , would it be ok to drill me a nice hole and fitted the correct size grommit here?

Has anybody tackled this with bigger cable.

I can se its quite an easy job for 6 Awg plus!

Does any of you guys know where the best place to route an Amlifier live down the Omega from the Battery?

Will have a look tomorow but just wondering if its an easy job.

Its good and really easy to use, the only Problem it has is it doesnt work out Cabin gain but that isnt the end of the world unless you want to find your peak!

Ive been a serious competitor now for some time and good programms are expensive and hard to find, but this is free.

Might not be to everyones cuppa tea in Building Woofer Cabinets but if is then there you go!  :)

It will work out by box size and Woofer Theile smalls  your box size disired and will work out Port area and lengths for what ever tuning is required!

 Finally fitted my Apine headunit and i must say what an absolute a55.

There is no room in the dash with climate control at all.

However i have a major problem, upon trial fitting the unit i want to remove it in order to connect RCA's , the unit is now stuck inside the dash and will not come out at all because i think the block conecter is wedged behine somthing.

All i want to do is conect RCA cables (wishes he did this before)


Will removing the glove box give me any access to connect leads, i know for a fact this unit will now not come out and i dont know what to do.

I made sure nothing was in the way and nothing was too tight in order to slide it in , i must admit before the final click i pushed it a little.

Now its damn impossible to remove it.

Any ideas???

This is deffo the Unit ive got, but all the other units ive seen has tyhe Bose logo under the Phillips part.

Mine has not, does this mean i cannot connect Bose Amp to it?

My Girlfriends Dad has bought a Face lift Elite with 42k on the clock on a W plate.

It has the Slots at the lower of the unit for discs and also the Satnav, the owner did not have the Dics for it to load the satalite.

Is there an easy option around this as he cant find one on ebay for great britain/europe.

The car i have was without the subwoofers on the shelf but what i wanted to know was this......

N/s/f speaker on low volume has a scraping kind of sound, it sounds like the Voice Coil is scraping on the Former of the speaker, what i want to know is when replacing it will it be a standered speaker or are they uprated with the 700 unit with built in phone and stuff?


Also not 100 percent sure if its got the Bose Amp as i red its bolted underneth the shelf on a saloon?

If so the conections are there im sure ive seen them?

the easiest task in the world and im stuck!

Ive fitted smoked side repeater's and the manufacturer that made them is abc designs.

There smoked , they have fitted in but dont seem to fit snug properly.

I noticed the repeaters are shaped theres a bigger ledge at the bottom of the repeater and a smaller one at the top thinking smaller ledge at top.

Theres no real easy way to explain this but its as tho they havnt been machined correctly to fit into the moulding 100 percent.

It may be becuase im fussy but could you post a few shots Close if poss) of your after market repeaters (pre facelift mini) so i can look.

As i say it may be just me being a total fuss pot because its hardely noticable!

Looking for a good quality spring for the Mv6, im after 40mm lowering and a good all round firm feeling.

Ive used cheap Spings before and always found a diffrence in handeling.

What Lowering Spings do you use and how do they feel?

Please if you could can i see Pics also .

Also one more thing, ile be wanting 4 wheel Alignment, where would you recomend in the Midlands?

Mixing oil for a top up?

Will be changing the Oil in the Mig along with the rest of the stuff end of month (well Loon-Knee is).

about a month ago i topped it up with some cheap esso 10/40 semi syn oil just because Oil is better than none!

I also cover very low milage apart from the many Hospital Journey's ive done over the last couple of days.

The Mayo in the Oil cap and stem is quite worrying but im proberly covering 2-3 miles a day and Engine does not reach operating Temp at all.

Also the Gaskets (rockers) are leaking too hence why shes having a sort out with Daz.

So im also thinking heavy breathing will also cause Mayo.

car not using any coolant at all but i can see why so many people get bargains here because of the "head gasket symtons"

Once Coolant  Oil and Gakets are done aswell as the brathing system i will take it out once a week for a good old thraping, i wont now because gaskets are leaking , im proberly not doing it no good with such low milage journeys .

Apart from unblocking the breathers is there any kind of Mod that can be done like the Vectra with the Oil seperating tank?

Im saying this because ile continue my short journey to work with a once a week blast but is there an easy way to maintain this breathing system?

I know the Car is fine and i also know its down to short runs and mixing with cheap oil aswell as the breathers blocked but its quite worrying how they clog up regular and that every omega in there life has to have this job done,Has anybody attempted making the hole in the breather box bigger at all?

Omega General Help / Manual edjustment for elevation on MV6 seats

Pete briefly explained what the tool was to do this but i cant find where it goes.

Basically the switch on my drivers seat for up/down as stopped working, its poss motor but unsure.

Ive had the car a month now or just over but i want to slightly lower it and i belive there is a square tool that you can get to wind it down auto?

I cant seem to find where this tool goes on the seat, i thought it was by where the switch is, can anybody point me in the right direction on where this manual adjuster is?

They look great in above pic but the Passenger side front is the worst!

Ive heard that these wheels are quite difficult to refurb?

So i was thinking , how would these look all the same colour?  As in the centre of the wheel is Anthersite, or would it we worth getting them refurbed fully?


The Chrome is all peeling off the Rims and looks awfull in places!

Omega General Help / Drivers door Check Strap help

The last week or so my Drivers door as been clanking like hell, its very stiff to operate door and somtimes feels like its imposible to close.

Is there anything i can do to this, tried Copper grease no joy, i want to disconect it for the moment until i buy another, i cant leave it for another few days as it feels like its pullung the door apart inside!

What can i do for the time being?
