Sunroof won't close
« on: 27 December 2007, 18:45:14 »

I'm back again! Opened the sunroof today...not been opened for a while. The motor slid it open fine but I could not make it close, having to resort to a screw driver to wind it shut. I did try the re-programming as per the handbook once, but to no avail! Any thoughts please? Cheers :(

does it not respond AT ALL when attempting to close, or does it move but stop part-way?

If you closed it with a screwdriver, would it open again by the switch or is it dead both ways??

I'm guessing it must have a relay for each direction or a double throw relay that does both.
Is there a 'power dip' (watching the internal light) when you click the button and it doesn't move so you can guage an idea of whether there is power to it and its resistance stopping it or if theres no power to it then it could be the relay.
Does that make sense? ::)
