WTD: Your old spare wheels
« on: 24 September 2014, 14:48:35 »

Basically I'm aiming to run the V6 on steelies for a while, until a decent set of rims appear. (also will give my bank balance time to recover) so anyone with one hanging around, please let me know. Ideally local to me (North East Lincolnshire) but the OOF courier service may be able to help with further distance ones :-)

Only real condition is (slightly obviously) it will need a good tyre on it. Thanks in advance chaps and chapesses!  :)

Thanks RobG

Well, you're first on the list, so that's good  :)

Very good friend of mine lives in Nuneaton/Nottingham, so that's midlands. Potentially a fellow OOFer may be able to get them somewhere near there. Time isn't hugely pressing - I'll be needing them in a week or two, it's not like I need them for tomorrow's MoT, or anything!  :)

Just to add to the list, keep it up to date, The Boy has kindly offered to take from Oxford to Northampton.

So...

Bristol > Oxford - still needed
Oxford > approx Northampton - The Boy
Northampton > Rugby - still needed (have a friend who lives in Rugby, who may be pass through N'hampton for his job)
Rugby > Nottingham - Marks DTM Calib
Nottingham > Me - sorted :)

All help greatly appreciated

And, without looking like I'm being ungrateful to Rob G, of course if anyone has any wheels nearer, please let me know :-) Thanks!

Cheers boys! (and The Boy)

Sadly it would appear all spare wheels are in the south of England. I am presuming that up North we use them all to burn as fuel, or swinging from them  :D

Hoping we can get that first leg (Bristol-Oxford) of the journey sorted, the rest can fall into place piece by piece.

May be possible to justify a longer journey with getting some parts off members here. Got a Pseudo-MoT next week on her, so will probably have a list of (many) parts required by then!

I will be in Ston Easton, on Tuesday. It's halfway between Bath and Bristol, and will be driving home to Oxford in the afternoon. I may have time to get to RobG.

Bringing the info over from 'General Chat' we have...

Bristol > Oxford - still needed
Oxford > approx Northampton - The Boy
Northampton > Brackley -still needed (have a friend who lives in Rugby, who may be pass through N'hampton for his job)
Brackley > Rugby - Webby the Bear (memory dependant  ;) )
Rugby > Nottingham - Marks DTM Calib
Nottingham > Me - sorted :)

So... thank you very much joshwyatt - if you can get to the man RobG, that's terrific! If you don't of course, you don't, it's no problem. I'll PM him just to let him know what's new  :)

Not heard anything from Mr Joshywyatt about whether he was able to pick the wheels up or not. I hope all's well?  ??? So really wondering either if he's about, or potentially putting it out there if any other members are able to courier my wheels from the Bristol to Oxford segment of the run? Thanks boys and girls!
