Omega General Help / Codes P0130, P0173, P0150
« on: 10 February 2016, 09:59:26 »
My Omega is due it's MOT at the end of this month. The car has just been serviced, new plugs, filters, replaced coil pack (1,3 & 5), but the dreaded EML light still keeps coming on.
The MOT garage checked the emissions for me and it was well off the scale.
The codes showing are P0130 02S11 circuit malfunction, P0173 fuel trim malfunction bank 2 and P0150 02S21 circuit malfunction. How do I get it through the MOT without bunging the tester a wad?

Which member of OOF has owned his Omega the longest?
I bought my ex demonstrator in May 2001. It was first registered on the 2 March 2001. 14 1/4 years later and it's still my daily transport.

Omega General Help / Lambda Sensors
« on: 04 March 2015, 08:24:09 »
I've got fault codes  PO130, circuit malfunction bank 1 and PO150, circuit malfunction bank 2. I presume both my front lambda sensors are faulty or knackered. Anybody know the part numbers for a 2001 V6 2.6 auto estate?

My EML shows 4 fault codes
PO130 02511 Circuit malfunction
PO150 02521 Circuit malfunction
PO430 Catalyst efficency low bank #2
PO420 Catalyst efficency low bank #1
Does anybody know the relevance of these codes and how to fix them?  After 12 years has my cat died?

I've had the cam cover gaskets replaced 3 times in the last two years. The last two were original VX parts. Looks like they've gone again. I've given up on my local garage. Any OOF mechanics near Liverpool prepared to solve the problem once and for all?
Whilst it's all in bits I could do with the dodgy valve stem seals replacing at the same time.

Omega General Help / Engine fires up, then dies
« on: 10 July 2009, 18:06:58 »
I have a Omega CDX 2.6 Y reg. I turn the ignition on, the engine fires, then dies.
Pumping the accelorator has no effect.
No codes show up on the diaganostics.
Both coil packs have been changed in the last six months. Anything I should be looking for?
