Never heard of Kurust I am assuming this is a rust repellent, could be alright but might not work on the Catalytic Convertor having had Hammerite put on in error  :-[ in the past it may do the same and just burn off.

It might work though.

Kurust is a rust converter but I'm not sure if it can be used on exhausts. You could try phoning the manufacturer Hammerite paints on their helpline 0870 444 11 11.

Have been looking on the Hammerite website

The Kurust product has no maximum temperature specified so it may work but worth confirming with Hammerite

Here is the website http://www.hammerite.com/uk/index.html

Never thought of looking at their website.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I know exhausts rust from the inside out, but the welds tend to rust from outside in.

Had a new exhaust fitted recently. When I got back home wire brushed all joint/welds and sprayed with High Temp exhaust paint. Still looking good  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
