I have had an e- mail notice from "DVLA"    stating my car is not taxed  and I will be fined £80

Only have the one car  . . .the omega which has been on SORN since 19.3.20.

DVLA site shows this as sorned .  Tried to contact DVLA but it seems unless you are a Key worker you cannot call or e mail or even contact them at all  .

Omega shows as SORN     Swmbo's 2 cars are shown as taxed , so just gonna ignore it .

Any thoughts  or advice guys  ?

IIRC you get one e-mail per year from the DVLA confirming your next twelve months payments.

I think the e-mail address looked dodgy too with the gov being in capitals.

Yes, it is yet another scam.

If you hover your mouse pointer over the links in the email Do not click them, you can see what URL they are sending you to. If it isn't a gov.uk address, it's fake.

If you needed another pointer, I bet it doesn't include your reg number. EVERY letter/email referring to a vehicle from the DVLA will contain at least a partial VRM.

Had that one a few weeks ago re the T/V licence. Looked very official too. Even before the old farts extension i wasn,t going to get one before the very last knockings.

  Hi Stemo, hope you`re keeping well 

I never heard another thing about the parking charge, after all I was parked on a public road and they had no right to desecrate my Datsun like that 

It also helped when the head of parking for York City Council got involved and sent them an e-mail stating as such
