I got a brand new set of pads complete with fitting kit from a member here about three years ago, for a reasonable price.
Couldn't believe my luck tbh.

I believe STMO lives two doors down from Andy Capp.

Pops round to see Flo when Andy is down the boozer.

Still got a long to do list, but most of them are minor details that aren't urgent. Cambelt and engine service are now due. Only other time consuming job is to improve the paint work one panel at a time, if I ever get around to it.
Also need to do the cambelt on the C---. Not looking forward to that one, as there is no room whatsoever to do the job. Have to keep lifting the engine up / down and pulling it forward then push it back to get access to the necessary bits.
That's the Frogs for ya.

Hancock does a good impression of a man who is completely out of hid depth. Wouldn't trust him as a doctors receptionist never mind Secretary of State for Health.

To be unfair to our doctors receptionist, he's probably a nicer more caring individual, who cares more about the health of the nation than she does about the health of the "customers" that she deals with. Mind you Stalin, Polpot and Hitler would be more caring.

Sounds like she is moonlighting at my local surgery. Tried dealing with ours recently and she is an evil little tyrant. She has even been reported for refusing a cancer patient a doctors appointment. When his wife complained she and her husband were struck off the register and told to find themselves a new surgery.
People who complain to the GP,s about her find she has their full support. I can only surmise this is because the business makes plenty of money and the GP,s don't get bothered too much by the great unwashed.

Rear shocks have just been delivered. Several days earlier than ebay listing suggested. opened the box to check contents and pleased to see all fixtures & fittings included. A bargain for just under £70 the pair delivered. Got to leave for work in half an hour, but got 4 days off from tomorrow morning so plenty of Mig fettling over the weekend.

I met Pat Boone in the mid 70,s. He was as boring as I expected him to be.

Omega General Help / Re: Idle speed is lumpy. 3.2
« on: 22 April 2020, 22:09:04 »
No ICV on 3.2.
If lumpy at idle it may well be caused by oil in the plug wells. Coil packs might be on the way out if soaked in oil.
Do camcover gaskets. Clean out plug wells. Clean up coil packs with carb cleaner, petrol or some spirit or other.
If the problem is still there it may need new coil packs.

Your rear end not tidy and working properly ?

DG - will do. Ive already cleaned up everything else in that area and give it a coat of paint where needed, so will clean up around the turrets when I have access with shocks removed.

Personally I would rub them down, paint them silver and give them a couple of coats of lacquer.
Depends on your current disposable cash and personal taste though.

Had a day off from it today, but brought the third Omega alloy to work tonight to start rubbing down and repainting.
Headlight level sensor arrived today and rear shocks due to be delivered in the next couple of days, so everything around the rear end should be all nicely tidied up and working properly within the next few days.

Prime Ministers ...

Oh I don't know, the war criminal seems to pop up regularly to share his thoughts....  ::)

During this last week, every single news channel has been treating him as though he were the Messiah, and seemingly hoping he was about to announce his second coming. Its beyond belief how deluded these people are !

Poor lazy management then. They shouldn't have the opportunity to do things like that and should be sacked if caught trying to.
