Pressure washers are not good for paintwork, you're better off with a hose and adjustable rose, and a bucket and sponge. 2 buckets if its a nice car.

You mean Kosovans? ::)

Having washed the Trolley yesterday, the obligatory one bucket and some 240grit sponge method, today saw it polished and seats treated. all good for another two months :D

Failed to repair the central locking on the o/s/r of the zafira ,not the motor, not the loom in the door,so I expect it will be the loom between the door and pillar  ::)
but the Zafira was needed ,i ran out of time  :(

so I replaced the nearly new battery on the "french car" with a dead one, swapped 3 of the nearly new tyres for bald ones (did not have a bald for the 4th  :( ), removed the aftermarket reversing kit and front wiper motor(as that will fit in my koi pond RDF filter) ,then pumped the remaining diesel from it   ;)
it's got a brand new delco starter motor and lots of other valuable things BUT i CBA
 :) :D ;D

Usually is the loom between B post and Door, easy enough to fix once you pull back the rubber outer, trick is to bind all the wires together with cloth tape after to provide support and still give some flexibilty

Thanks,
yes that was my next port of call, the loom unplugs at the door easy enough ,I will remove the b pillar trim and check/replace any strained wire . I don't have cloth tape but will take on board your advice and wrap a few thin strips of gaffa tape over the heatshrink once repaired .

I await news of the "french cars" collection by the scrap man  ;D
one condition of the settlement was it was to be destroyed .
(clutch cowboys did a pretty good job of that in my opinion  :D ;D )
shame though ,as i'd just done the water pump, cam belt etc etc and it would probably have been good engine wise for another 100k before intervention, other than service
still, the relative has found the Zafira  to be a nice alternative replacement
a PITA for us to sort out the settlement, but it was the principle.

Kosovans have never touched any of the 3 cars I own in my ownership (I believe, racking brains to remember if TBE had ever been there?)

The Zaffy and Pussy are too big and attract a higher price. And I'm tight.

My Omega gets the two bucket treatment. The 190 gets whats left in the buckets chucked over it once in a while.  :)

Kosovans have never touched mine, either. Our local car wash is run by those very trustworthy Romanians.

Enjoy yourself, life is short. When you consider how quickly a month passes, almost unnoticed, and then take into consideration that you might get, say, 80 years on this earth............that's a very scary 960 months!
You can close your mouth now  ;D
