Title: Omega 30ltr for sale

Hi  i have an 30ltr elite 1998 r-reg for sale the big thing is the head is starting to go it still drives oka but uses water i am looking for around £400 for it as you may think thats alot but the car is in good condition,before this happend
brakes just done cambelt done
speedo 147000
cloth interior,sat,nav,cd,player
all the elite factory fitted things
mot-nov-taxed-may-

If i have to i will break it it has good doors alround,bonnet,ect
good set of alloys tyres cloth interior,good autobox

i have a garage if anyone needed to transfer parts over or  to do any work ii am based in middlesbrough

bit to steep for an old prefacelift

especially as a trouble free model of similar spec can be yours for £300+ if you look hard enough!

It could be - 1998 3.0l...  ...back corner, passenger side I reckon ;)

how long does it take for the head gask change...a 3lt head set is about £70 on fleabay i supose £120 for a skim

It's not common for them to warp

Head changes can be done quickly, but - better to take your time and do a thorough job.

i probably couldn't change a spark plug by myself......lol.....i just wondered if it was a 10hr @ £5k a hour main stealer job that a good mechanic could do in 4 hrs

You won't find anyone who can do a pair of V6 heads in 4 hrs....

I'm doing mine over several days, leisurely, without rush.

May as well do it properly, and do it once...  :y

Skimming is an issue on V6 heads, as being a V, coolant bridge won't line up post skim.


Marks DTM did my V6 in a day, can't remember timings, but must have been started around 9am, finished by 6pm? (Apologies if I have the timings a little out Mr DTM)

didnt have any problems lining owt up after having mine skimmed  :y

hi lads thought id let you no its not the head but the oilcooler guess i should always take a second oppionon anyway got a cheap 30ltr elite for spares now  :y
