Cambelt shroud- should I have one?
« on: 28 November 2019, 17:45:07 »

Hello again,

Still slowly getting to grips with my new V6 Omega.
I was looking down at the front of the engine (sorry it's the best I can do) and I noticed that the Cambelt was largely visible. I seem to remember a moulded plastic shroud
fitted there to protect the belt run and pulleys from stones etc. Am I imagining this? I've got a Haynes on order but it hasn't arrived yet.

If i remember correctly, i'd imagine it will be a good idea to re-fit one soon as.

Regards,

Graham

Have a look at the cam belt guide here and report back...

I suspect that you are confusing the cam belt with the auxiliary one ;)
