The 26 year old Mk3 Cavalier 1.8 passed it MOT with no advisories  :D Mot tester said what a little gem of a car . It was the first time i drove it on the mot day after 3 yrs being off the road . Not many creature comforts but drives very well  :y

I had a Mk3 1.7 TD about 5 years ago. Went like stink for what it was. I loved the ols thing, despite it being very scruffy looking.
Blew it up in the end though.  :(

A mate of mine once had a 1.7d[Isuzu engine I believe?] that was a scruffy old bus he tried allsorts of things to kill it but it absolutely refused to die.He finished up selling it on to a new owner who was still running about in it 3yrs later!
