Took the DTi to Fleet Fit in Loughborough as I noticed the O/S TRE had some play in it and it's coming up to MOT time soon. All sorted and a fresh Geo on the car.  :)

Washed both cars and started using my new Meguires detailing kit (Mrs VXL got it for my birthday today  :y) on the bootlid of the V6. Going to try and do a panel each weekend.  8-) I'm inspired after Ianu 's demonstration at the Bucks meet.  :y

Someone was paying attention. :y

I went to the pound shop and bought some wash mits, tar remover and a plastic box to keep it all in. :-[

Mr WOOD  :o your going to cle....... Well  that's a clear sign of intent at least.  ;D

Microfiber cloths are very cheap in the supermarket, smaller than the megs ones, but who cares when you can get 20 for the price of one megs cloth in Halfords.

Cleaned some of mine on Thursday. I was doing it right before with the exception of the wax cleaner, used that then the polish and "BING" no more swirls.

Thanks again for ianu's help btw.

Wash Mits and microfiber cloths all machine washed and ready for today's round two of the roof and doors, as it's not too sunny.  :y

Did the handbrake on TBE. FVSH, according to the service book, yet still previously adjusted just by the handbrake cable. Muppets. No wonder it was rubbish.

Now capable of leaving a No 11 when testing, though that is partially due to poor tyres ;D

Should add, it was rather convenient that the useless student left his jack around here...  ...much easier with 2 jacks :)

I 'helped' Mark DTM do ....

Driver side rear wheel bearing - went much better than last time
new rear disks & Pads
Handbrake service - must be the day for it..

And Adjusted the servotronic steering from medium to minimum assistance.

Huge thanks Mark, much appreciated  :y

TB adjusted mine the other way a while back, seemed oddly stiff before, now seems comparable to most omegas I've driven. Strange.  :-/

Ive been used to having ours at the minimum setting, this one felt odd with more assistance.

Tested out my new cheapo OBDII bluetooth device, works great.

Can now diagnose and delete codes from my mobile. :y

Left the omega and caravan at home and took the corsa wife and son camping in bakewell .
Put to much stuff in and worn some of the plastic trim over back wheels.
Think will stick to the the omega and caravan.

Took my German Wishbones, drop links & steering control arms to my brother in laws and showed him how to do the job properly.

Then spent £160 on 2 new tyres & temporary tracking until i can get to WIM.

Finished by hand washing the car (Asda usually gets the privilege) and finishing with a chamois.

be nice to car day  :y
