Any ways, to give this car a chance to redeem itself...

Any rust? Arches/doors/tailgate...
What condition is the bodywork in?
Are the tyres legal?
Any service history?
How many owners?

It had new front suspension wish bones, steering control arms & anti roll bars links fitted to pass last MOT, cost £250.00 in parts & £150.00 in labour. The car also had a new coil pack, spark plugs & plug lead set fitted. £160.00 in parts & £80.00 to fit them.

Is there no other way other than swapping the interior to get the air bag light to go out  ??? Obviously not to take the bulb out  ::)
Might get away with swapping the seatbelt tensioners for facelift ones, but don't bank on it... will need resetting either way, and removing the bulb is, or bloody well should be, an MoT failure as it then won't come on at all.
Seatbelt tensioners from the donor car would be the same as OP`s current car as MFL/FL are the same. Just needs a decent reader on it to find out the cause of SRS light being on

A previous '03 plod car of mine had had early MV6 seats fitted, but previous owner had needed to swap the pretensioners from the original seats to keep the light off :-\

Depends which diagnostics software you refer too, obviously the fault has to be fixed before any diagnostics software can reset the code.

And no mention of any misfires/rough running in your original description ???

Do yourself a favour, go through the car thoroughly, fix what you can, interior and puncture would be a start. Give it a bloody good clean, take some decent pics with a camera that doesn't tint everything blue, and then relist it with all the recent work done AND ALL the faults as well.

This way you will not only get more serious interest, but also more importantly, get a half decent price for it.

As it stands, I suspect the only reason it hasn't been bought as a breaker is that it looks and sounds about £150 overpriced :-\
