In 1980 five of my workmates decided to have a pools syndicate. They wanted a sixth member and asked me if I wanted to join. I wasn't interested so they went ahead with just the five. They won £28,500 between them on the first week, which was a goodly sum in 1980.
I was a wee bit pissed off with myself, to put it mildly.
As for the lottery, its so long since I did it, that I haven't got a clue how it works any more.
