ok so I won the £165 million
« on: 04 October 2019, 17:16:47 »

I wish.

apart from a bespoke omega  ::)

what else are you buying?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferrari-GT-250-SWB-coupe-Evocation-1960s-Replica/113885597073?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649
this is high on the list, always liked the original but practicalities mean where could you use it?

What's the point, when you would lose your licence on the first day!

Only worth buying as an investment, having driven various cars from the Italian, German, makers of penis extension's, they are bloody uncomfortable, not practical, and need constant maintenance. Probably cost more than the dippeey blonde bimbo that normally accompanying the owners of said cars. ;)

Spending £50 million on the car, I would like to think that a £40 million blonde would have something more than aesthetics to offer :D

Still leaves £75 million to get by with ::)

Think I would rather have an Omega Estate modified to adapt the Bugatti Chiron running gear and black the rear out to make the ultimate sleeper car. ::) just for a bit of fun with the street racer lads 8)

I don't normally, but they've been putting money on at work as a group ..... you're then obliged to join in as you'd be a bit p1$$ed off if you were the only one turning up for work while the rest of them were sunning themselves on a beach somewhere  ;D ;D

In 1980 five of my workmates decided to have a pools syndicate. They wanted a sixth member and asked me if I wanted to join. I wasn't interested so they went ahead with just the five. They won £28,500 between them on the first week, which was a goodly sum in 1980.
I was a wee bit pissed off with myself, to put it mildly.
As for the lottery, its so long since I did it, that I haven't got a clue how it works any more.

According to an online calculator £28500 in 1980 is worth £110853 in 2019.

Divide this by 6 and you get £18475 each.

A tidy sum, and more than enough to satisfy an elderly Irish fellow with an assortment of fine French motor cars. :)

No. Because its there to make money for Camelot, and the "Good Causes" are at best suspect - I don't see money wasted on sculptures, arts centres and the like counting as "Good Causes"

Yes just think what Le Albs could have bought in 1980!

Renault 5, Citroen Dyane, Simca 1000, or even the Talbot Matra Rancho!  :y

I would have been doing the sums to find out if a year old Chevette HS plus the pools winnings would buy me a well used Ferrari or a 911.
