Not a Water Leak?
« on: 28 July 2015, 18:00:04 »

Every week or so I have to add a liter of water... I can see a leak next to the starter but I guess that is not related with a leak!
My guess goes to some clogged tube or damaged valve.

Here is my diagnose, with the car working and after the fan stop, I press the main hose (the one that connects the engine to the radiator)
and I can feel a little pressure nothing amazing. So I open the expansian tank and the water get all out... the pressure on the main hose
gets lose and the water continuous to flush out.

What do you guys think?

top hose if too hard could mean pressure in system......try having the car pressure tested for leaks....or have it tested with the blue fluid head gasket testing kit to see if head gaskets are ok... :y

It has some pressure... I guess lower than 1 bar.

I recal to see the water circulating on the expansion tank while accelerating the engine!
Now, that does not happen anymore! I can't see the water circulating.

In earlier post I benn told that could be heater bypass valve...
I been trying to locate the heater bypass valve on ebay but I can't make distinguish between the two heater bypass valves, the one that stands next to radiator and the one that stand on the back of the engine...
