Volvo V90
« on: 04 December 2016, 11:19:55 »

Just parked next to one of these in a car park. They look very loooooooong but, when I spoke to the young fella who owned it, he reckons it's about the same as the V70, but that the roof line is lower. It appeared to be about a foot longer than my astra estate, but that may have been an optical illusion, but it was certainly wider.
Nice looking estate though, very modern.

Interior is very nice as well!

Perhaps in 5 years time when they are reasonable price, will take another look.

Just enough time to buy before Christmas. :y

However, if it is as large as you suggest Santa may have trouble getting it down the chimney.  :)

Tweaked V70/S80, neither available any more...

Looks to be a fairly efficient way of dropping £58K and diesel only for now ::)

Whoever thought that idea would sell has has a bit too much vodka and a bit too little daylight...

There really was a model V90 years ago that was identical the old 960 with some minor tweaks and a different name. It was only available for about year or so before they completely dumped old style Volvos in favour of V70s around 1998 or thereabouts.

Yes, the bottom of the range wwd D4 Momentum at £34.5K bare... The range topper (only other engine choice) D5 awd luxury starts at £41k... The rest is optional, including alot of the really cool safety kit...

Given a choice, the next 5 Series has to be worth a look for similar money... Volvo does look svelte though 8)

The V70 was a restyle/update of the 850 and came out in 1996,in the same year Volvos naming strategy changed and the 940/960 became the S90 and V90,so the 90 should in theory be just slightly bigger[bodily]than the 70.
