Sounds good  :y and will "probably" make it, not 100% certain yet.

The big question will be, do I bring recently acquired MV6 Est or 2.5 Elite Est with a few issues that I still want to sell ?

Bring them both...put wifey in one :y Both mine will be there hopefully

Seriously...if you have issues that can be fixed on site...I am sure some of the issues will get sorted.

Just a thought I will bring all my unwanted Omega bits over in case any one wants any of it as no use to me now
Any donations can go to Terbert to help with any costs for the day  :y

 :y count me in too.
Dare I say I'll bring all my kit and do a wash/polish demo if you like  ;) - depending on the weather obviously. I'll offer my own to demo on - or if there is a likely candidate that would be prepared to sacrifice volunteer their paintwork - I'll see what I can do  :o.
Maybe someone could try and fix my airbag lamp  ::) ::)

look forward to it Tony..

Hi Rog,
No special treatment as such. At an earlier meet at H/W I gave a demo on basic 'how to' car washing techniques with a bit of jargon busting and myth dispelling for any who had wondered what it was all about. Because of the weather it was a bit limited as we only managed to do part of a wing with the cleaners and polish.
I'd be happy to do the same again for anyone who missed it and is interested - I'm not a professional detailer - more of a very serious amateur that likes to spread the word  :D on getting and keeping that deep shine. No special tricks or allegiance to any one product - technique is 70% of the result I reckon  :y

Cheers
Ian.

We're ( SWMBO & I) are booked in the place below, some others are also, the exact plan ? I don't know. I had in my head all bump into each other in bar, and then eat & drink. But I agree a firmer arrangement could be a good idea. For a start I could probably only recognise Terbert  ::)

Premier Inn, High Wycombe / Beaconsfield
Thanstead Farm, London Rd
Loudwater
High Wycombe
Buckinghamshire
England
HP10 9YL

Some time ago they had rooms for £35, but this has jumped up quite abit now.

Ah...you coming too on Friday, then Ken :y
I am in Swindon all this coming week, but will be back sometime on Friday in time for a meet up. I know Rog, Al and wives are staying, but don't know what times they will be arriving. Don't know who else is staying there.
My access to a computer will be limited, but will try to keep up with the arrangements. Once details are known of how many and when, then I can book a table. :y
So far it looks like eight attendees.
Friday night is the fish and chip night, so if we can suss details before this Monday, I can get in early with a booking :y

You will remember us Rog......you will know nitro (Ken) and Carole, Al is tall, you can't miss him, and you will remember me, short, but really good looking, with a beer belly ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I wont be making the "pre-meet" as I will be knackered after driving back from holiday on Friday, but still 99% sure ill be at the "day-meet" , providing trusty ol' Katie is fine  ;D , and I might be bringing a non member, potential buyer along with me so he can see what all the fuss is about  ::) .

Will there be a TechII on the day, does anyone know?

Hi Tony,  Sally & I are aiming to be there late afternoon on Friday if all goes well &  I can get away from work early enough ::) ::)

Tony, could I suggest that we all meet in the prem inn  bar at say 8pm ?  if that would suit all who are going friday night :-\

Be great if Nitro & Carol are attending Friday as well  :y :y

Al  :y :y :y

Have you booked a table there before?   Didn't think they took bookings  . . .just put your name down  when you get to the resturant.

May be worth me giving them a call .  Leave it to me & I will book if I can , if they won't let me book in advance, I will sort it when I get there Friday afternoon . Table for 8   for 8 /  8-15 then :y

I will PM The Alarming Man just to make sure he's not going to be  there Friday

I am off to Swindon today for five days, so unless I can get use of a computer, I shall not be aware of the situation. I have seen reserved on tables....and I am pretty sure Chris booked a table about a month ago, when my cousins came to stay.  8-8.15 sounds good :y

Thanks again Tony and Chris for a splendid venue today - much appreciated. Unfortunately it seems that my intentions to demo car cleaning seems to attract the rain  :-[ :-[- so again we only achieved the drivers side wing on Al's car - but the bar has been set and I shall be checking for updates and scheduling periodic inspections to see how it's coming along Al  :P :y
Great to meet some more new faces again and another variety of models on the showground  :) including the Bentley, Chevy and M3 - although maybe it was the presence of the two convertibles that brought on the rain  :-X.
I think the live guitar performance by Al in the car park was a meet 1st and very impressive it was too - again the bar has been set  ;) ;) ;) (no I can't play the guitar)
All finished with a rather nice curry  :y
Look forward to the pictures that anyone else managed to take - I'm not quite so sure about the video now  ??? :D

Cheers
Ian.

Thanks to Tony & Chris for another splendid & well organised  meet & of course Friday nights pre meet get together ;)

Thanks to Ianu  for giving me the very educating course in car finish cleaning  :y

Ian I have suggested to SWMBO that she sits in front of that offside wing now to apply her make up !

It shines like "a shilling up a sweeps ar*e"  now  . . .brilliant.  I have to find the time now to do the rest of the car  ;) ;)

Nice to meet a couple of new faces & see all the old ones again

Not too sure how the work on TB's car went  . . .  some progress I hope  :-\

Lastly  . .  the "Shadows"  guitar playing demo seemed well received . . a good testing ground for my new totally portable "mains

free" set up that I have put together . :y

Thanks all  . . .a great day  :y

Edit:  almost forgot  . . .thanks  Nitro  for the replacement chrome tyre valve caps  :y :y

Thanks again for the day, brilliant as always. Live music, cars, a bar, food. What more could we ask for?

...apart from a bit of sun. Bloody weather nearly ruined the work in the car park. Just got away with it.

But as said later on in the day, I think it's almost a better day if it does rain, as its more social when everyones in the bar. :)

I'm embarrassed to say I didn't get to chat properly to many people, as the "simple" job of removing the dipstick to replace the o-rings on the bottom of it turned into a 5hr saga. I mean, how long should it take 3 grown men to remove a diptstick  >:(

So apologies if I was too busy  :-[

However, it was a first for me, I don't think I've ever been under a bonnet listening to a live performance of The Shadows :y
