This stuff ok? Planning to just siphon it out, top up, turn from lock to lock few times, siphon again ect.

How much fluid will I need?

You need DEX II ATF by rights. No indication on the specification of that fluid, so your guess is as good as mine.

I actually flushed mine out and replaced with Fuchs Titan Dex 3 and have had no ill effects. Old fluid looked as good as new after 12 years, though.

Worth doing then? Never changed the fluid in either of mine

I'd simply get a turkey baister, get some out of the resevoir (without letting it run totally dry). Top up with new fluid. Do that again next week. Repeat for a few weeks.

I did mine by putting the front on axle stands, using a fluid extractor to remove the fluid in the reservoir then topping up with Dex II, starting up the car then turning the wheel lock to lock a few times then repeating the whole process multiple times until the fluid stayed clear in the reservoir.

I was told to drop the return feed to the reservoir off but I found that difficult to achieve, I also didn't have anything to block the pipe connection off on the reservoir hence my method above.

Same, I was going to do your method.

Stuff from Eurocrap parts just says suitable for most Dex II or Dex III needs

Yep basic dex 2 ATF is what's needed. Anything more and you're paying for a fancy bottle.

Dex III has been known to weep through the pipes hence the reason for sticking with the (now rarer) Dex II. Pretty sure Kevin Wood is running Dex III without issue though so it may be more down to the age of the rubber pipes, you can usually see a few cracks in the output pipe where it fits over the output outlet of the reservoir.
