Hi Guys,

Definitely up for another meet in December 2016. Thanks to NickW who quite rightly pointed out , go to ECP Strood and they will sort out the incorrect front crank Rover seals which head office ECP had been sending through. All sorted now, thanks to Strood ECP , thumbs up lads. 3.0 track engine build now in progress (gasket/seals parts bin nearly fully populated) for Lydden Hill in May next year. The elves will be busy in the garage approaching Christmas ;-).

Where is Nells cafe?

Defo up for the next meet.

Some nice motors there. Not sure some of Toby Carvery clients knew what the cars were LOL . I know my son's VXR wasn't a mig but he is from the VX camp.

Will try to get the missus to bring the '97 reflection to the next meet.

A real petrol head sesh and a damned good breaky.. Shame it closed for lunch ;-)

Thanks to Nick for the crankshaft seal and 2 pack paint advice.

Off to the man cave for some more mig antics ...

Will be there about 10am.

Just need to get the "golden bullet" a tank of Super Unleaded for breakfast ;-)

Hi,

Will defo be there, had it reserved in the diary since mentioning the date in a previous thread.

Will bring the modded 83k S reg gold manual 2.5cdx saloon. If the missus is not at work, I will get her to bring the standard 76k R reg silver auto 2.5reflection saloon as well.

The T reg green 3.0 manual elite saloon (with MV6 interior) is leaking oil now from the cam covers, so will shelve bringing the old drift wagon out, 141k and sounding a bit rattly after a top end rebuild following a cambelt snap a couple of years ago - newly built complete 3.0 engine to go in this winter for 2017 ;-)

My son might join us in his brand new white VXR with factory performance and leather pack, trouble is it is a Corsa E. Everyone has to start somewhere I guess ;-)

Praying for a sunshine Sunday then ...

 ;D :D :y

Hi all,

9th October 2016 seems like a good date for another Kent meet.

Gravesend Kent is a convenient central location. Not sure exactly where the last meet was?

Hi all,

Excellent photos !

I have all 3 migs taxed and insured at the moment and wondered where and when the next meet is in Kent, maybe before summer is out?

(Also , doing an X30XE complete spare engine rebuild this winter and wondered the best place for off the shelf performance camshafts so to improve on the G cams, for track days? I have a spare set of F cams for reprofiling if need be)

Cheers  :D :y

hi all just wondered if there is any kent meets if not could we do one cheers glenn

Seems like a good idea. My mini facelift 3.0 Elite has its engine , gearbox and exhaust on the bench at the moment as it's having it heads&headers rebuilt (volumetrically massaged :y) and a complete new clutch, my mini face lift 2.5 CDX is up for rocker cover oil seal overhaul, so it will be the preface lift 2.5 Reflection (aka the silver bullet) up for a meet. Have been to a few meets over a cafe near West Malling, but not sure if this is still a venue for Mig meets?  :) Gazza

A good meet , even the sun made an appearance which was nice. The supercharger is going onto my green mfl 3.0 man LSD elite. Windscreen repair pending it may make a meet later in the year as well as the modified gold CDX :-) thanks also to the jungle cafe for a great bacon and egg roll as usual!  :D  ;D :D

It'll probably be televised for extra revenue !!!  Lmfao  :D

Won't bother filling up with 5* petrol tonight , instead I'll be Lead lining my ECU to stop any incidental X-rays getting through  8)

It seems that the end of the world is nigh yet again.Apparently on 21st of this month the sun will be in perfect alignment between the Earth and the rest of our galaxy at which point a giant solar flare will be emitted, this will affect the Earths magnetic core creating several polar regions and causing massive tidal waves.According to the "experts" on the programme[shown over the weekend]the safest place to be during this event is anywhere else but Earth!I personally didn't see this programme but several people at work did and have been discussing it all day.

Sounds like that bunch of money worshiping pagans not getting their own way again, ie having to do Christmas shopping for their 'loved ones'. Hopefully the high energy rays from the sun won't erase my omegas ECU memory. If it does I'll just have to get the trusty ECU programmer back out. Nevertheless I'll still get to take the old girl for a drive on Christmas day when the roads are empty ;-)

General Car Chat / Re: So what have you done to your car today?
« on: 22 July 2012, 18:31:45 »
In the last two weeks I have changed the LSD oil, engine oil and topped up the manual gearbox with slick 50, I have also refitted the original head unit and re-wired the Bose (to make it work again) and changed the coolant temperature sensor and changed the coolant and had new tyres fitted.Today I have changed the air con condenser and re-gassed it. (1999 MFL 3.0 elite manual) oh and changed all of the filters  :) :) :D

General Discussion Area / Re: Motor home or caravan ?
« on: 21 May 2012, 18:00:45 »
Caravan every time.

I service, repair and install new appliances into new and old caravans and motorhomes everyday and if you've got money to burn then get a motorhome and a chauffeur, but you will have less fun than a caravan  ;)

Here's why ...

With a caravan you can unhitch it from your omega , set up your awning, mini bar and barbeque then and use all the money you've saved by buying a caravan you can run and modify your mig for the rest of your life and still have change left over  ;D :D :D

Enjoy !
