self Levelling Headlight Sensor
« on: 17 May 2009, 15:00:13 »

I have the fault message on the dash display 'Low Beam Fld / Vision', which has been there since I had the car and was there for some time with my dad who was the previous owner.

Now I know that this is a problem with the sensors and motors for the self levelling headlights that are located at the front and rear of the car. I have checked and regreased the front sensor/motor and all seems fine there, but when I checked the rear one the 3 pin connector to the sensor was disconnected, so has probably been like that for years getting all kinds of s**t in both the male and female ends and seems to be past it. Is there an easy fix for this or will I have to replace the whole rear unit?

got to be worth cleaning out the connectors and plugging in. See what you got and in from there?

First test the 'sensor' by putting power to a connector or use a multimeter, if no response, request secondhand unit on the 'parts wanted' area.
