Omega General Help / a lil help please

hi all 1`st off happy new year to you all ...

forgive my useless ness but i started a thread sometime ago ref rear diffs on 3 ltrs etc trying to work out what car would have a limited slip diff but for the life of me i cant find it again

in short will a mv6 have the above item fitted ??

Omega General Help / v6 plenum question ..

another random question but ill crack on anyway ....

when i finally get the 3tr motor in my car id like to use the longer type plenum is it a straight swap over / or even possible ?
as both omegas i have now have the short version ??

also am i right to presume its the facelift models that have the longer item? lastly what price can i expect to pay for this ?

just wondering if anyone can clarify something for me ...

i have 2 n plate omega`s 1 2.5 cd and 1 3ltr elite

im told that the elite has a limited slip rear diff is this the case or do i need to check and see??

any advice would be great

Omega General Help / omega problem no spark ?? 2.5 v6 manual

hi guys

have been out this evening and car has been fine untill..................

stopped at a freinds came out and it just turned over but wouldnt fire ...
tryed again holding key for quite a while and it finally fire up ..no sputtering nothing up and running no worries ...

then went into town and parked the car to return and have the same issue again ..
now however it wouldnt start no matter how long i held the key ...

tryed a bump  no joy ....
checked fuel was arriving to rail ...yep...
grabbed a plug out of a mates car to check for spark .nothing ....
decided it had to be towed to mates place as town was filling up with drunks ..
on route had to have it in gear with ignition on to get a minimal brake and steer ...
during this time it wouldnt fire and the engine management light was always on ....

im thinking
1. cam sensor ?
2, crank sensor ?
3 dis pack ?

have had to leave the car at a mates a hour away so wondered if anyone else may possible have any other things i need to take tommorow incase any of the 3 items above dont sort it when changed ??

any help would be much appreciated

As above has anybody changed to the alloy vectra cam-covers??

if so how did you go about the oil filler ??

Omega Gallery / new to omega`s but enjoying it so far ...

picked this up a couple of weeks ago here`s a few pics when i picked her up ....









got it home n had a quick clean up ....






then had the tints done .....









since then modified the throttle bodies
and got rid of the way to harsh greenstuff pads in favour of some ate parts being fitted

lots more planned inc fitting some kent cams i have had sat waiting to go in 1 of the cars ...
also complete suspension upgrade to allow posibility of trackdays next year ....

looking for a set of lowered springs at the mo ?? if anyone can help please pm me ..
also the current wheels will be off the vehicle and available to buy shortly ..

all comments suggestions as what what to do next ?? welcomed ..

as above decided to fit the cams i had for sale
 whilst doing swapped to alloy cam covers with a homemade pearl kinda paint affect ...






thought best to tidy up the plenum aswell so tryed to match my earlier paint affect ...






visually well happy ...for now !!!

performance wise certainly a far better experience now a massive improvement !! .....

so decided to give her a well earned full valet ....

General Discussion Area / hi all hope you had a nice christmas ...

just wanted to pick the regulars brains a little please ...

have some not so common omega items id like to add to the for sales area soon but........

no idea of the value and didnt want to sell myself short or over charge

i have a complete vauxhall sat nav as fitted to the mv6`s including the manual what do we think thats worth ?

also a full mv6 carbon fibre interior trim set  was going to keep them for my car but as i have a sat nav already and gloss black trim decided its not worth the effort to change it all over ...

any help or advice would be great
