1999 2.0 Auto Box
« on: 26 January 2009, 19:16:30 »

Hi

My mig suddenly went into limp home mode tonight, with "Automatic Gearbox"warning in the display :'( Anybody any ideas what it might be? I've no doubt that it is expensive, it's a 1999 with 116 k on the clock, not sure whether to spend any more on it, as it is begining to cost quite a bit now to keep it going.
Got the seat belt tensioner or airbag light on as well at the moment.

Any info would be appreciated.

Could well just be low fluid in the box if its not been serviced...

Cheap and easy enough to check and top up yourself if it is and probably best starting point anyway...might be worth changing the filter in the box too if its not been done for a long time (or ever)  :y

Need codes read I'm afraid, could be a number of things.  Certainly wouldn't harm to replace atf, or at very least, check the level
