This one is midnight blue with tan leather, I'm going to keep the colour the same but although the seats look in good nick I know of someone local who can refurb them completely, I'm going to keep them the same colour but will have the leather in the "diamond quilted" pattern that can be seen on most Bentleys.
Keep them original, Mick.

^This!^  :y

How original though?

Say, for example, you replace points and coil on a sixties classic for electronic ignition. Or modern tyres and brakes.

What Rangie describes sounds like an 'acceptable update' to me.

Just wanted a slight difference to make it more "personalised" to me, everything else exactly to as new condition, even my missus liked driving the Granadas at one point we had two she had a 3.0 GL & I had the 3.0 Ghia, the MK2 I had was only a 2.3LX in gay gold 👍

You go for it, its your car, purchased by you, for you, do to it what you want.  :y
Agreed  :)
though Mick will have to get the fuzzy dice for hanging on the rear view mirror  :P

Omega General Help / Re: Sticky buttons replacement?
« on: 10 April 2024, 16:50:44 »
I must get a bottle of the pink magic potion from Lidl. The sticky buttons have driven me nuts for years.
Aren't your hands/fingers always covered in oil and diesel and other fluids anyway from fixing your FRENCH "vehicle"  :P

Selling the family silver omega  :o

I had 3 Carltons once , turns out you can only drive one car at a time  :o
so having a spare spare spare car is probably overkill  ;D
unless they're FORDS or French  :P

Needs to be reported to the relevant authorities.  >:(
Yes, report it to VOSA
IF The NT (MOT tester)  has entered it wrong on the VTS device (system) ,it can be altered by contacting VOSA or asking the tester to do it . ;)
IF the mile reading has "gone back"  on the dash ,from previous records  :-X  the NT HAS to record the milage shown on the dash as presented for MOT.
if ,in the case of a faulty LCD or similar mileometer ,the milage can't be viewed ,it should be noted as such eg "unreadable"
The Tester Could add an "advisory" note if he wanted , but that's unlikely .

MOT certificates and service histories are NOT proof of the correct milage ,or the vehicle is safe or 'fault free' or indeed ever been serviced .

people can't always be trusted   ::)

A whole squadron of birds that shat all over my car pissed me off today. It was so peppered with bird poop I had to pop in to Tesco’s to buy a bucket, car mitt and water to wash it off. As I’m away from home I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and take it to one of those scratch and go car wash places, as my attempt hasn’t dried out favourably. ::)
you had to buy WATER  :o
do you wash it with Evian or Perrier  :-\
are you in the Sahara Desert  :-\ the UK has water falling out the SKY for free
that's how my Omega is getting washed right now  :)

No, but I read that you can put fresh manure in the bottom of your planter and as it rots it generates warmth which stimulates growth and you get nice big veggies.  :y
Tomato : a ripened flower ovary that contains seeds. AKA a fruit
Cucumbers are fruit too

Steaks, pork chops, bacon etc are NOT fruit and are OK to eat  ;D

I rolled a 600cc Regal saloon.....and a 700cc Regal Supervan. :)
………

I find the most concerning thing about this thread is that Opti had not one, but two plastic pigs.  :o
we won't talk about his other blow up farm animals  :-X
Oh, I think we should. At length  ;D
You will upset Rae If he finds out Opti has a flock of blow up "Dolly look-a-like love sheep"   :-X

Horse boxes doing 30mph in a NS limit zone, and the slow coach driver behind it too afraid to overtake it, causing long tailbacks.
If the equestrian type can afford over £100K for a flash horse box, why can’t they afford a few ratchet straps to secure the horse in the back so they can drive a bit faster.   :)  ::)
nail the horses hoofs to the deck  ;)

Seemingly the asylum seekers lawyers tell them that converting gives them a better chance of it being granted.
so , if i say I'm Cristian ,I can get asylum seeker status  :-\
and get lots of free cash and a house  :-\  ::)  :P  :D
Budget for a paint job.
Bit pricey  :o
I'll do an oil change on one of the tractor juice engines before signing on  :D

Omega General Help / Re: central locking
« on: 27 March 2024, 22:36:24 »
I have in the past tried to find out what the rules are, as far as a mot, if one doorlock  is not working with the remote.
As long as the doors open with the door handles (inside and out) and close securely  it's a pass  ;)
Fuel door flap must open to inspect that the fuel cap is in place
boot and bonnet need to close securely

remote /central locking by fob or key turn in door is NOT an MOT requirement
