My two wheeled collection would be a real fantasy garage,as these days they really would be just to look at and remember when I was younger.
Lets see now......

Ducati 916. The most beautiful looking motorcycle ever produced.
Kawasaki KH 250 - for very good and very bad memories.
Kawasaki 500 Mach3 H1 - to remember the fear they used to induce.
Kawasaki 750 Mach 4 H2 - see above.
Kawasaki 900 Z1 - could only dream of buying in when I was 15. And to complete the collection of 70,s Kwaks.
Early Yamaha R1 - changed the biking world forever, and a beast of a thing to ride.
Honda Fireblade Urban Tiger. - It was thought to have been the bench mark, and then the R1 came along. Easier to ride quick though.
Any ex race bike that had been ridden by Joey Dunlop.
Honda CB600F. Great fun in the real world, and arguably the best all round bike ever made.
Yamaha FS1E - I wanted one for my 16th birthday and got a fackin Casal instead;D

At least the mid seventies Casal had a bit of individuality about it. The 'Fizzy' was for those kids who had no imagination.

I loved the Italian sport mopeds of that time. I had a Garelli Rekord which would piss all over my mates on their FS1E's, Suzuki AP50's and of course the glacially slow 4 stroke Honda SS50. My Garelli gave 6.2 BHP from 49cc and when it was running and the pathetic wop electrics were not playing up, was great fun. :y

I also remember Fantic.....Gitane......Malagutti....Puch Grand Prix......there were a few other obscure makes back then.

I also had a brief stay in hospital when I 'looped' an RD 400 when intoxicated. ;D

The SS50 was a missile compared to the Casal.  :-[ :'( ;D
I only ever rode it when I was going somewhere I knew there would probably be cops lurking. Otherwise I had a mate who had a Norton Commando I had talked him into buying, but he didnt like it much so used to let me borrow it.
I sold the Casal for about a third of what my Dad paid for it when it was 9 months old. The old man was not happy, but it was his fault for being too tight to buy me something decent.
Thats how my 16 year old logic saw it anyway.  ;D

The cops did catch me on the Norton by the way. I briefly thought about riding through the roadblock, but the fact they were toting machine guns soon made me see sense.  ;D

The Honda SS50 really was shit slow so I can only presume your Casal was a 'twist and go' moped like a Puch Maxi, rather than one with gears. :)

I used to love the black and gold tank on the 750/850 Commando. :y

Back in 1976 The Laverda Jota was considered to be the 'boss bike' as it effortlessly kicked sand in the face of the Kawasaki Z900. :y

2 speed gear with change  on a twistgrip on left hand bar. Top speed was 38mph. Bloke a sold it to rode it around Ireland in a week. Covered 600 miles, and spend a fiver on petrol. He was a bit mental though.  ;D
The Commando mentioned was black & gold with Dunstall bodywork. A lovely example, but he destroyed the engine one day by trying to rev it like one of hos beloeved two stroke Kwaks.  ::)

A mate of mine still has a Jota. Ive rode it and it was a nice enough thing to ride, but my 10 year old CBR600 left it for dead in a straight line and on the twistys. The march of progress.

I remember in about 1985 Kawasaki did a great advert for their new '450 MPH triple'. This advert has always stuck with me and Kawasaki obviously used the 2 stroke triples from the late sixties and early seventies as a reference point.
