I'll be buying classic Mini bits instead, to keep me Mini on the road.... best I can do to beat the rust it was built with at Longbridge LOL

Yes quite a bit....

Needed work for its MoT back in December..

Just for the MoT it needed every bush on front subframe replaceing as it wasn't attached to the car at all except for a 1 inch square of torn rubber clinging on for dear life.... and lots of other parts needed too numerous to mention but here goes...

Brakes - front and back... replaced with new discs and Mintex M1144 pads (very dusty but unbelievable stopping) Minifin drums on the rears with Mintex brake shoes...

Shockers all round and suspension all round too... normal rubber suspension replaced with fast road springs...

LCB 3 branch exhaust manifold mated to 'Play Mini' rear box, no centre box and it aint loud...

Standard 12" alloys replaced with 13" Superlight wheels (13x7) and Yokohama tyres on front and Bridgestone Potenza's on rear...

ALL subframe bushes and all other bushes replaced with polybushes just to help it grip...

Headlights replaced with H4 units, fitted with Nightbreaker bulbs....

Overriders and bumpers are stainless steel so they'll probably outlast the car LOL

It will be coming off the road over winter for quite a bit of bodywork that is needed for peace of mind more than safety really...

I am on the lookout for a Mk1 type front grille and moustache surround for it as this weekend, depending on weather, I will be converting from normal rear lights to Mk1 round and tiny rear lights... coz I like them...

It all takes time and effort, the UK weather doesn't help, especially when I dont have a shelter to work under....

Oh and the arches.... they're genuine Rover Sportspack arches just to cover the wheels to make them legal....

I do like the proper Minis. Even now, they are still a hoot around town .

Need to get one. Always liked the ones no-one else likes. so a 1275 GT or clubman nose, in vomit yellow with gofaster stripes. Don't ask me why!
