12V ignition feed
« on: 17 December 2008, 19:49:43 »

Does anyone know where I can tap into a 12V ignition feed in the boot of a 2003 omega saloon, for rear parking sensor  control box.

Thanks...

does the control box need to be live all the time or only when reverse is selected?

reverse sensors are normally wired to work only when reverse is selected so you could conect to the positive feed for reverse light and earth on rear earth nut

Thanks Dan...

There are 4 wires on the control box:
-red to ignition 12V
-blk to ground
-yellow to reverse light
-blue to brake light

It is an 8 sensor kit and the front sensors work off the brake light (keeps power on for 20 seconds). Theres also a little display.

Thinking about it it probably doesnt need a perm live...I'll try hooking both up to the reversing light...

btw... wheres the earthing nut

Do your front sensors work?
